     Thanks for asking, but no thanks! I’ve done enough of them this year and I still have to finish mine.

     If you’re military, then try your nearest base’s VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. If you’re not military then you may be able to find a VITA in your local community. And the best places to ask your tax questions (without even leaving your home) are Fairmark.com or Early-Retirement.org…

   Husband commissioned after ROTC Aug 1966–on educational deferment and not active duty until Feb 68–how many retirement points did he earn over that period and where is a reg that addresses this
